The Psychic's Confederate is a darkly comic thriller about phony stage psychic Fletcher Kendrick, who inadvertently exposes a serial killer during a show. The killer takes him hostage, and Fletcher—with the secret help of his backstage confederate—tries to convince his captor that his powers are real. When the connection to his confederate is broken, Fletcher must use his well-honed stagecraft to keep the illusion (and himself) alive.
